Marcus Ramone, formerly known as Pleasure P, has released his new single “Galaxy.” He co-produced with Keith Sweat and Patrick Kamau.
Co-written by Marcus Canty, who appeared on The X Factor USA season one, and William “Preacha” Hawthorne IV, “Galaxy” is a delightful introduction to Marcus Ramone. He sets a romantic mood on the sultry jam, which hears him croon about a lovemaking experience that transcends beyond this world. He likens the experience to an intergalactic voyage, delving into uncharted territory with his partner.
“Why don’t you just take this ride with me, I’m anticipating / Ging deep in your galaxy, oh / Halfway there / I’m trying to take you there / Have you ever touched the top of the world?”
On his new single, Ramone exclusively tells Rated R&B, “It’s turned down from what you would normally get from me. It’s unexpected. You would never think that I would do a song like ‘Galaxy.’ [It’s] something that you can play with your girl. You gotta light candles to it. You gotta put on your cologne. It’s something grown and sexy.”
“Galaxy” isn’t just for the bedroom, Ramone adds: “It’s something you can smoke to and vibe to in general.”
“Galaxy” is the lead single from Ramone’s upcoming debut album. As Pleasure P, he last released an album in 2021 titled Business Before Pleasure.
On Saturday (Sept. 9), Pleasure P will join Ne-Yo’s Champagne & Roses Tour as a supporting act, along with Mario. The R&B gents will play across the U.S., hitting cities such as Cleveland, Philadelphia, Charlotte and Atlanta. It will conclude Oct. 21 in Lincoln, California.
