Heavy desert rockers Mondo Generator unveil a new track, “Death March,” from their forthcoming album We Stand Against You, out October 13 via Heavy Psych Sounds.
“’Death March’ is for everyone who refuses to back down, lay down, bend over to authority,” says bassist and vocalist Nick Oliveri, “We stand against… WE STAND AGAINST YOU! Our new album is nine songs of fire fury and angst! Some of the songs are reflecting my personal thoughts, and some songs are about family and close friends dying and/or committing suicide, and some are about my experience with the Corona lockdowns. This is a record of real emotion and not for the weak.”
Oliveri, also fomerly of Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age, seems to use this project as a place to channel his rage and indignation to the world. But despite the sharp, crusty edges, there is still a lot of groove and desert rock here, as well as memorable riffing.
