Tink is taking a stand against toxic relationships and puts the men (and the world) on notice in her video for “Fake Love.”
The video is one of resistance, as Tink and some other women recognize their self-value and reject lame suitors.
A particularly impactful scene involves Tink leading a group of women as they march through the streets, carrying signs that denounce immature men.
“Fake Love” is Tink’s latest single from her 2023 album Thanks 4 Nothing, released in February. Hitmaka co-produced the empowering anthem with OG Parker and Beezo.
This week, the honest track stays at No. 30 on the urban radio. Additionally, it progresses to the No. 33 on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.
Moreover, “Fake Love” is currently trending on Spotify, with over 4.7 million streams and counting.
Executive produced by Hitmaka, Thanks 4 Nothing debuted less than a year after 2022’s Pillow Talk. It debuted and peaked at No. 22 on Billboard’s Top R&B Album chart. Ty Dolla $ign and Yung Bleu were featured guests on the new album.
Tink just finished her Thanks 4 Everything Pt. 2 Tour, a follow-up to her previous tour of a similar name that ended in April. Multi-platinum artist Jacquees was part of select dates, while rising singer Sonta supported each show.
Later this month, Tink will be playing at the inaugural Harlem Festival of Culture. Get more information on the three-day affair here.
