Fans of metalcore outfit Darkest Hour will have a lot to be excited about once the new year rolls over, as they’ll be that much closer to the release of the band’s 10th studio album. Through there aren’t any details about said album, it’s coming as a result of their other announcement that Darkest Hour has signed a worldwide deal with MNRK Heavy.
Guitarist Mike Schleibaum said the band was excited to partner with the label, citing an ongoing working relationship with individuals within MNRK Heavy over the years.
“We are beyond excited to announce our partnership with MNRK HEAVY! We have been working for years with members of their team on various other projects and know they will help give our new album the worldwide release it deserves. We have always strived to bring our unique blend of thrash, metal, hardcore, and punk to the largest audience possible, and with the massive reach of MNRK, we are confident and ready to begin the next chapter of our band’s story.”
In addition to the announcement of a new business deal and a new record on the horizon, MNRK Heavy and Darkest Hour also revealed they’ll be reissuing the band’s 2017 album Godless Prophets and the Migrant Flora on a number of vinyl variants and on popular digital streaming platforms.
Regarding that album’s reissue, vocalist John Henry looked back on Godless Prophets and the Migrant Flora fondly.
“Godless Prophets & the Migrant Flora has always held a special place in our hearts and in our discography. Over the process of working on this re-issue, our love for this album has only grown deeper. We are happy to announce the vinyl variants and its re-emergence on worldwide streaming services.”
As we get closer to the end of the year, we’ll be sure to hear more about Darkest Hour’s new output. Until then, we’ve still got their existing jams.
