Year of the Knife’s Vocalist in Stable Condition Following Van Crash

Metal

As previously reported, hardcore band Year of the Knife were involved in a serious van accident last week. Thankfully, it looks like everyone is going to pull through.

Lead vocalist Madi Watkins ended up in critical condition from the accident, and other members sustained broken bones and other injuries. Thankfully, they are all reported to be in stable condition.

The band initially shared the news about the accident on Twitter on June 28, and later Brandon Watkins followed up on his private account sharing more details.

The first Tweet read:

The update read:

I am so grateful; we are so grateful to have so many special people looking out for us. I have nothing but gratitude for everyone who has donated and shared. Currently, Madi is stable and we are waiting for the doctors to give us more information on what our next steps will be moving forward in the recovery process. Aaron, Andy and I are recovering and are trying to stay positive.

Much love

Brandon also shared the GoFundMe page created for the band, and promised to share more details when they are available.

We’re wishing a quick recovery for Madi and all the rest of the members of the band following this horrific accident.
