Juno Rucker Shares Debut Album ‘Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid’

R&B

Alternative R&B singer Juno Rucker makes his official introduction with his debut album, Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid, out now on EveryDejaVu.

Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid is filled with introspective lyrics over acoustic-driven instrumentation. Every song, including the lead single “Pretty People,” was written and produced by Rucker.’

On the genre-pushing album, Rucker invites listeners on a vulnerable journey where he seeks clarity on life’s adversities (“What’s The Meaning?”), lets go of strained friendships (“Rucker!”) and wishes to burn away his problems (“pyromaniac”).

But all isn’t lost for Rucker. He closes the album with the title track, a sobering moment where he shares lessons learned along the way.

“I used to fill my void with cheap drinks and bonified bitches / Just leave stitches / Now by the rock bottom riches / And everybody here is a victim / Well, if you’d just open you remind / And shut the f**k up for awhile / Maybe you’d listen / Maybe you’d learn something new,” he sings.

Speaking on his debut, Rucker tells Rated R&B, “The previous releases I made were more so practice if I’m being honest. I wanted to see how far I could get before getting serious. Now, I’m trying my best with my skills and knowledge to grow as an artist and make the best art for myself… Others later.”

He continues, “This one is for Ruthy (my late grandmother). It’s for everyone who feels alone in their thoughts and feel like they can’t make a change to their life or others. You can. Just listen.”
