Coco Jones to Perform at 2023 BET Awards

Coco Jones is among the first artists announced to perform at the 2023 BET Awards, set to air live Sunday, June 25, at 8 p.m. ET from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. 

Jones, whose breakthrough hit “ICU” remains No. 1 for a fourth consecutive week on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, received three nominations. Included in the list of her first career nods are Best New Artist, Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and Best Actress.

“ICU” was produced by Camper and can be found on both the standard and deluxe versions of Jones’ debut EP, What I Didn’t Tell You (Deluxe).

It reached No. 1 on urban radio and was awarded a gold certification by the RIAA for selling 500,000 equivalent units.

The Sugarhill Gang, MC Lyte, Big Daddy Kane, Fat Joe, E-40, GloRilla, Trick Daddy, Warren G, Remy Ma and many more will also perform as part of the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.

BET Networks announced the nominations for this year’s BET Awards last week. Beyoncé, SZA, and Chris Brown received the most nominations, with four each.

Other nominees include Mariah Carey, The Weeknd, Usher, Ari Lennox, dvsn, Brent Faiyaz, FLO and more. 

As of now, the host for the 2023 BET Awards has not been announced yet.
