Jeremih has achieved a new certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
His 2014 single “Don’t Tell ‘Em” is now certified 5x multi-platinum; it has sold more than five million equivalent units.
Jeremih’s YG-assisted track now ties with his 50 Cent-featured hit “Down on Me,” released in 2010.
“Don’t Tell ‘Em” was the lead single from Jeremih’s 2015 third album, Late Nights: The Album.
DJ Mustard and Mick Schultz co-produced the track, which charted No. 1 across four Billboard charts: Hot R&B Songs; Rhythmic Airplay; R&B Digital Song Sales; and R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales.
On the Billboard Hot 100 chart, “Don’t Tell ‘Em” peaked at No. 6 in October 2014. It marked Jeremih’s third top 10 hit as a lead act and his fourth overall on the popular singles chart.
“Don’t Tell ‘Em” is among Jeremih’s trendy songs on Spotify, surpassing more than 491 million streams. Meanwhile, the official audio has garnered nearly 120 million listens on YouTube.
Last year, Jeremih picked up a multi-platinum award for “All the Time” featuring Lil Wayne and Natasha Mosely, and a gold honor for DJ Mustard’s “Don’t Hurt Me” featuring Nicki Minaj.
The former appeared on Jeremih’s 2012 mixtape, Late Nights With Jeremih, which was officially released to streaming platforms in March 2022 to honor its 10th anniversary.
He later appeared on Ne-Yo’s most recent album, Self Explanatory, and then issued his own single, “Changes,” along with an official video.
There are no additional details to support if “Changes” will appear on a forthcoming Jeremih album. As mentioned earlier, his last solo full-length album was Late Nights: The Album. He later teamed with Ty Dolla $ign to release a joint album, MihTy, in 2018.
Beginning July 21, Jeremih will perform on 50 Cent’s headlining, The Final Lap Tour 2023. He will support the rapper and mogul on his North American leg.
