Bee-B Releases New Song ‘That Girl’

R&B

Singer-songwriter Bee-B has returned with her new single “That Girl, produced by 88Jay.

Set to the backdrop of acoustic instrumentation, “That Girl” hears Bee-B longingly singing about her desire to embrace her whole self, no matter what others may have to say.

“Sometimes I wish that I could put my pride aside / Wanna see it from the other side / If I was that girl that didn’t care / About the people that would stop and stare / Or would judge her by the things she wears,” Bee-B sings on the emotive track.

Discussing “That Girl,” Bee-B exclusively explains to Rated R&B, “The inspiration behind the song is that I just keep seeing this recurring conversation on social media: these think pieces, and even the comments when you see someone thriving from launching an OnlyFans or a viral video of them twerking. And although there is judgment, the general consensus is that if they could, they would too.”

Bee-B adds, “Most women want to let their hair down, wear that risqué outfit that’s been in the back of the closet, or go on that spontaneous trip without fear of a side-eye.”

“That Girl” is Bee-B’s first taste of new music since releasing her debut album, Ghetto Feng Shui, in November 2022. The 16-track album included appearances from Raheem DeVaughn (“Can We?“), Davion Farris (“Real”) and J. Ivy (“Self Care Is”).

“That Girl” is the lead single from Bee-B’s upcoming EP, Hood Hippie, slated to arrive later this spring.
