Queens of the Stone Age Dropped a Trippy as Hell Video for “Emotion Sickness”

Metal

Yesterday, desert rock mainstays Queens of the Stone Age announced their next studio release In Times New Roman…, along with its first single “Emotion Sickness.” At the time, all we got was an audio visualizer of the song but earlier today, the band dropped the song’s official music video and boy, is it weird.

Serving as both a visual spectacle and a lyrics video, this new clip for “Emotion Sickness” is definitely prime Queens of the Stone Age, with dudes wearing crazy getups acting menacingly, oddly creepy people dancing along to strange choreography, and general weird goings-on.

I won’t belabor the whole thing too long, since this really is just a new music video from the band, but excitement’s pretty high for the next release. WHile 2017’s Villains wasn’t my favorite release from the band, I feel like post-…Like Clockwork Queens can be a strangely compelling band to follow.

In Times New Roman… will be released on June 16 via Matador Records, though you can preorder the album in all kinds of formats today. You can check out the cover art, track list, and tour dates below.
