Video Premiere: Houston – “What Doesn’t Kill You” –

Houston

Alt-metal band Houston just dropped the first single from their forthcoming EP, Every Branch on the Way Down, out today via Init Records. Check out “What Doesn’t Kill You.”

The Minneapolis-based band got together for the first time in 15 years to make this album. “We decided there was some unfinished business,” says guitarist and vocalist Jeff Halland. He then got back together with drummer Ian Prince and bassist Lane Soderberg to record the new heavily Failure and Hum-influenced EP.

COVID hit before the band could release the album, but the band kept writing remotely.

“We just didn’t stop. It was equal parts therapy and becoming a band again,” says Halland. They came out of lockdown with material for a new EP and LP. This is the first song from the record to see the light of day.
