India Shawn Shares Video for ‘Caught in the Middle’

R&B

India Shawn has unveiled the video for “Caught in the Middle,” following the release of her freshly-shared debut album Before We Go (Deeper).

The Dennis Leupold-directed video sees Shawn and her love interest (played by Deivys Nicola) journeying through a sweet connection that leaves them inseparable. When Shawn isn’t glued to her man at their low-rent dwelling, she is riding in the back of a car while their romance plays out as a backdrop.

“Caught in the Middle” is the latest song from Shawn’s Before We Go (Deeper) to be packaged visually following the June release “Exchange.” That single is the focus track on R&B radio, currently enjoying its moment in the top 30.

Of “Exchange,” Shawn said, “It’s about love, pleasure, and reciprocity. As I evolve in my career and womanhood, it’s becoming increasingly to show up as my whole self, sexy and sensually included.”

Before We Go (Deeper) combines seven new songs with all the tracks lifted from Shawn’s 2021 EP, Before We Go. Some of those previously shared songs include “Movin’ On,” featuring Anderson .Paak, the 6LACK-assisted “Not Too Deep” and the honey-dipped “Too Sweet.”

“Every lover has been a mirror, and every relationship has called me home to myself — to know myself more and to love myself better. I hope this album inspires others to turn deeper inward for the love they were always looking for,” Shawn said about Before We Go (Deeper).

Shawn is supporting Before We Go (Deeper) at Lollapalooza 2022 at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois.
