Album: Joey Bada$$ ‘2000’

Hip Hop

The wait is over.

After nearly five years and a few slight delays, Joey Bada$$ gets the clearance with his long-awaited and third album, 2000.

Coinciding with the 10th anniversary of his breakout mixtape, 1999, 2000 finds Badmon keeping his “Head High” through rough times and paying homage Pro Era’s Capital Steez (“Survival’s Guilt“). Elsewhere, Joey digests life lessons on “Where I Belong” and enjoys his success “Zipcodes“.

At 14 tracks, guests include Chris Brown, JID, Larry June, and Capella Grey. Diddy appears on the opening track, “The Baddest”, while Westside Gunn is featured on “Brand New 911”.

This marks the Brooklyn rapper’s first album since his 2017 standout, ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$.
