2022 Black Music Honors Performers Announced: PJ Morton, Amber Riley, Jade Novah and More

The Black Music Honors has announced the performers for its 7th annual celebration.

The star-studded lineup includes 112, Ahjah Walls and Rhea Walls, Amber Riley, Avery Wilson, Carl Thomas, Crystal Aikin, Eric Bellinger, Eric Roberson, Jade Novah, Keedron Bryant, Kevin Ross, Kid N’ Play, PJ Morton, Raheem DeVaughn, Sheléa and Tasha-Page Lockhart.

This year’s honorees include The Whispers (Legends Award); Dru Hill (Urban Music Icon Award); Karyn White (Soul Music Award); Tevin Campbell (R&B Icon Award); Keri Hilson (Music and Songwriter Icon Award); and Mary Mary (Gospel Icon Award). 

The Black Music Honors is powered by Central City Productions.

“We are more than excited to return to in-person taping for the first time in nearly three years with a live studio audience,” said Don Jackson, founder of Central City Productions and executive producer of the Black Music Honors.

“The pandemic had an unprecedented impact on the music industry and we’re honored to celebrate, commemorate and honor music trailblazers who have paved the way for the next generation of music and culture.”

Co-hosted by LeToya Luckett and DeRay Davis, the 2022 Black Music Honors will be taped live at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday, May 19. It will air on Bounce TV on Saturday, June 25.
