Verzuz kicks off their new season with neo soul legends Anthony Hamilton and Musiq Soulchild.
In celebration of Valentine’s Day, the Grammy-award winning and nominated artists took to the Avalon Hollywood for an intimate performance of their classic hits.
From “Momma Knew Love” to “Break You Off”, the pair ran through their music catalogue including “Coming Where I’m From”, “Dontchange”, “Charlene”, “Buddy”, and so much more. Guest appearances throughout the evening included Jermaine Dupri, Robert Glasper, Lucky Daye, Nappy Roots frontman Big V, Leela James, Kevin Ross, Eric Roberson, Donell Jones, and Raheem DeVaughn.
Last year, Hamilton released his album Love Is The New Black and Soulchild released his Loveyoumore EP.
The event follows Verzuz‘ previous battle between Bone Thugs-N-Harmony vs. Three-Six Mafia from last December.
