Dawn Richard Stars in PJ Morton’s ‘Please Don’t Walk Away’ Video

R&B

PJ Morton has got to win back his lover in his new video for “Please Don’t Walk Away,” directed by Dominic Scott and Prinsey Walker.

Dawn Richard, a fellow New Orleans native, plays Morton’s love interest, who’s left their ring of commitment where he can find it and get the picture she’s done.

Morton’s world gets turned upside down, watching other couples embrace each other in his time of gloom. But, he eventually gets in front of Richard and makes his case. Watch it to see how it all plays out below.

In week three of charting at Billboard Adult R&B, “Please Don’t Walk Away” has climbed to No. 22. It was previously greeted with open arms at R&B radio stations, receiving the title as the most-added song following its official impact last month.

On Feb. 9, Morton is set to perform this current focus track on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

At the 2022 Grammys, Morton is up for Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Bring It on Home to Me,” a tribute to Sam Cooke. BJ The Chicago Kid, Kenyon Dixson, and Charlie Bereal also star on the honorary remake.
