Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has a new tattoo, and he’s excited to show it off to the world.
The back piece depicts actor Christopher Lee as The Creature in the 1957 classic horror film The Curse of Frankenstein. Taylor explained on Instagram that it was done by Shane Munce of PussyKat Tattoo in Las Vegas, saying:
“The Backpiece Continues! Mr. Lee by my great friend @shanemunce down at @pusssykattattooparlor puttin up with my ass for 14 years haha! If you want AMAZING work when you’re in Vegas, hit em up!”
Taylor recently promised that a new Slipknot album will arrive this year. Slipknot began recording at the beginning of 2021, and in December, Corey said he was working on putting the finishing touches on some of his vocals, explaining, “I’m redoing one [song] that I wasn’t happy with.” After that, he said the plan is to “go back through and do punch-up[s] on anything that I’m just not feeling,” referring to the process of selectively re-recording isolated parts of songs. A standalone single, “The Chapeltown Rag,” arrived in October.
