Ted Nugent Says Former U.S. President George W. Bush Is a “Scam Artist” Who “Manifests Woke-Ism”

Metal

Ted Nugent, partner to Caitlyn Jenner and grocery store headliner, has called former United States President George W. Bush a “scam artist.” And while that may initially sound like the most sensible thing The Nuge has ever said in his life, he actually failed to clear that extremely low bar — ’cause he made the commenting while defending Donald Trump Jr., whose father seemingly took the Oval Office with the sole intention of making sure history no longer viewed Bush as the country’s worst-ever commander-in-chief.

Making Nugent’s comments even more bizarre is the fact that he also said Bush “manifest[s] woke-ism,” which is almost certainly the first and last time anyone will ever accuse Dubya of being too liberal.

Nugent’s assertions were voiced as part of a criticism of one of Bush’s former speechwriters, Peter Wehner, who recently penned an op-ed for The Atlantic in which he scolded Don Jr. for continuing to push the baseless conspiracy theory that his father was robbed of re-election.

In the op-ed, Wehner categorizes Don Jr. as “intensely unappealing and uninteresting,” “a crude, one-dimensional figure who has done a remarkably good job of keeping from public view any redeeming qualities he might have,” and a fountain of “corruption, ineptitude, and banality.”

Then, referring to a recent speech the younger Trump made during a conservative convention last month, Wehner writes:

“Throughout his speech, Don Jr. painted a scenario in which Trump supporters — Americans living in red America — are under relentless attack from a wicked and brutal enemy. He portrayed it as an existential battle between good and evil. One side must prevail; the other must be crushed. This in turn justifies any necessary means to win.”

Nugent fired back at Wehner during a recent edition of The Nightly Nuge, his incredibly sad attempt at producing a conservative version of The Daily Show.

Commented the guitarist:

“I would like to just make sure I remind everybody that George W. Bush and the entire Bush gang are the ‘Deep State.’ They manifest woke-ism; they genuflect at the altar of denial. Donald Trump Jr., on the other hand, is a truth-logic-and-common-sense, Constitution, Bill of Rights, Ten Commandments, Golden Rule, Declaration of Independence, be-the-best-that-you-can-be, law-and-order American, which is why there’s a division. Because Donald Trump Jr. and the Nugent family and all my friends and neighbors, all my hunting buddies, fishing buddies, all my Second Amendment and First Amendment ralliers across America, we stand with Donald Trump Jr. and Donald Trump Sr. and good families who genuflect at the altar of the American Dream, life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.”

Nugent continued:

“George W. Bush and his speechwriter were scam artists. They aren’t to be trusted. They represent a Deep State of criminal abuse of power.

“So God bless Don Jr. and not so much anybody associated with the Bushes.”
