Underoath have released a new single called “Numb.” It is, without question, one of the two best American rock songs to be called “Numb” that I can think of off the top of my head and one of the three best rock songs from anywhere called “Numb” that I can think of off the top of my head (not including Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb”). So that’s a sort of achievement.
As for which of those 2-4 other “Numb”s is better, if any, I’ll leave that you to decide. I think the Underoath one sounds like Norma Jean having a midlife crisis, but then, I was never the biggest Underoath fan to begin with.
