“Feast” on a New Song From The Agonist

Metal

The Agonist have released one last preview of their new EP, Days Before the World Wept, before its release tomorrow. The band’s new single, “Feast on the Living,” has a similarly potent blend of no-B.S. metal rage and symphonic elements as their last single, “Remnants in Time.” I said it before and I’ll say it again: it’s not that far off from Dimmu Borgir or Fleshgod Apocalypse, in the best possible way.

Frontwoman Vicky Psarakis says about the track and accompanying video:

“Everything that could possibly go wrong with this video shoot, well… did, haha. We had a very difficult time finding the right location, so our vision kept changing. Days before the shoot was scheduled to take place we managed to secure the perfect spot and experimenting with all sorts of cool lighting is what took it to the next level!

“Musically, ‘Feast on the Living’ is a much more straightforward metal track. You’re 4 songs into the EP, at this point you know exactly what you’re going to be served and you’re loving it.”

Check out “Feast on the Living” below. There’s still time to pre-order Days Before the World Wept, too!

Fans of The Agonist should take note that this is actually the second new song to feature Psarakis in as many days — yesterday saw the release of a new duet with Soilwork / The Night Flight Orchestra vocalist Björn “Speed” Strid. Created in collaboration with Gear Gods’ head honcho and In Virtue guitarist/vocalist Trey Xavier, the track is part of audio software company Toontrack’s Rocktober month, which puts the focus on the company’s arsenal of songwriting and recording tools geared towards rock musicians (Metal Month is on deck for November). Listen to that here.
