Bathe Releases New Song ‘Bolero’

R&B

Bathe’s forthcoming project, Bicoastal, is due on October 15, and it features their latest track, “Bolero.”

Reflecting on his lineage over a smooth and airy production, the duo’s vocalist Devin Hobdy describes the song as “a therapy session with my ancestors and a love letter to the Black and brown communities that made me.”

“Tell me it’s fine to be landless / Tell me it’s cool that I speak the dialect of thieves / Momma tell me that I’m not abandoned / I’m not a casualty/I’m not a casualty,” sings Hobdy near the song’s end.

“Bolero” is preceded by Pull Up,” released a few weeks shy of this song. Bathe also dropped “Sundress” back in mid-July. All three songs are expected to appear on Bicoastal, the project behind their 2019 debut EP, I’ll Miss You.
