Teyana Taylor may have slowly stepped away from music, but the RIAA accolades continue to roll in.
The multi-hyphenate seized a gold award for “Morning” featuring Kehlani, making it her fifth certification to date. She previously scored her first platinum honor for the fan-favorite “Gonna Love Me,” which started her RIAA career.
Returning to the “Morning,” the sultry single lifted from The Album, one of Rated R&B’s best R&B albums of 2020, has received more than 24.6 million streams on Spotify.
Now that Taylor has pressed pause on her music endeavors, she’s invested in her company, The Aunties, which she moved to a one-stop shop to support artists in a variety of spaces.
Last month, Taylor and her family returned to reality TV on E!’s newest series, We Got Love Teyana & Iman.
Kehlani recently scored a top 10 entry on urban radio for the “I Like Dat” collab with T-Pain. In August, the Oakland, California native added her Cloud 19 mixtape to streaming services for the first time.
