Korn’s Jonathan Davis is “On the Mend” from Covid-19

Metal

After calling off their show last Saturday, August 14 due to “a confirmed Covid-19 case within the Korn camp,” the California nu-metal band revealed a few days later that it was vocalist Jonathan Davis that tested positive for the virus.

Six of the band’s concerts were rescheduled to the end of tour while two were canceled outright.

The band’s initial statement did not indicate whether Davis had been vaccinated or not.

In a new statement issued on Friday, August 20, the band said that Davis is recovering well and is on track to resume the band’s tour in Illinois on August 27:

“Thank you all for your words of support and well wishes for Jonathan Davis. He is on the mend, and we will be ready to bring this energy back to Chicago in one week. Head to Kornofficial.com for all upcoming and rescheduled dates.”

Ra Diaz of Suicidal Tendencies has been filling in for Korn on bass while Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu takes a break to address some “bad habits” and take care of his family.
