Lou Val Releases New EP ‘Tayo and the Dreamer’

R&B

This year’s summer soundtrack has mood music from Lou Val. In collaboration with Soulection Records, the emerging singer has released his sophomore EP Tayo and the Dreamer. It follows Lonely In Paradise, released two years ago.

The six-track project finds Val exemplifies uniting conditions of life and romance with dragged-out melodies and austere moony productions. Two examples of this are the two-pack singles “Cruel Silence” and “Eternal Sunshine,” released earlier this spring.

Regarding Tayo and the Dreamer Val said, “This project reflects my perspective on how I navigate relationships, friendships, family life and dreams of a career in music.”

In discussing the differences between Tayo and the Dreamer, he added, “Tayo, my childhood nickname, is what my family and loved ones call me – the person my friends know. The Dreamer is the part of me that exists in a whole other universe, the side of me that is focused and fueled by my artistic aspirations. This project was a chance for me to reflect on these sides and find who I am and want to grow to be in the space between.”

Tay Iwar, who released his Love & Isolation EP this year, is featured on Val’s new project.
