Jazmine Sullivan slid through at the 2021 BET Awards to share some Heaux Tales from her award-winning project.
The skilled vocalist reclaimed her time with help from Congresswoman Maxine Waters during her first-televised performance of “Tragic.” She also was joined by Ari Lennox for an unbelievable live take of “On It.”
Following her performance, Sullivan accepted the award for Album of the Year for her most recent project. Watch her acceptance speech below.
Sullivan received other glowing accolades and recognition this month, including her first top 10 single (“Pick Up Your Feelings”) on urban radio in over a decade.
She also landed herself a certified gold single this year for the chart-topping kiss-off from Heaux Tales.
