Rob Zombie, Mastodon and More Will Headline Voragos Five-Day Rock Cruise and Festival

The organizers behind Voragos, a new 5-day rock cruise that will set sail in February of 2022, are betting that audiences rabid to get back to the live concert experience after a year and a half are ready to pack aboard cruise ships again now that the pandemic is fading into the rearview in America and Europe.

Are you ready to jump on a cruise ship yet? I’m not throwing shade, I’m genuinely curious, and to be honest I don’t even know where I stand on the matter. I’m vaccinated so the likelihood of me catching Covid-19 is very low (and the odds of me catching a severe case are infinitesimally small) but it still kind of gives me the heebie jeebies, whether that’s rational or not. I reckon that feeling will fade once I begin attending regular live concerts.

In any case, Rob Zombie, Mastodon and Chevelle are the biggest names on the lineup for Voragos, which will depart from Miami and sail to Harvest Caye, Belize and back from February 16-21 of next year. Black Stone Cherry, Tremonti, Saint Asonia, Escape The Fate, New Years Day, Fire From The Gods, Bad Omens, Jeris Johnson, and Tetrarch are some of the other names on the bill.

The expedition is being labeled a “private island festival and 5-day rock cruise,” with some performances on the boat and others on the beach in Belize. You can see who’s playing where on the flyer above.

In addition to the rock music, the cruise will host a more intimate Storytellers Stage (Amigo The Devil, Kevin Martin of Candlebox, Brett Scallions Aupervant Fuel and Austin Meade), and a comedy stage (Jim Breuer, Big Jay Oakerson, Rachel Feinstein and Shayne Smith). That should keep the entertainment from getting stale, because five days of the same bands is a lot to handle.

Tickets are available now at www.Voragos.com with pricing starting at just $898 per person for a 4-guest interior room (plus taxes and fees). That’s crazy cheap, although you’ll of course need to find a way to Miami and back, too, and food and drinks (lots of drinks, we trust) are not included.
