Weekend Reader Poll: What Are Your Thoughts on High Ticket Prices for Major Metal Concerts?

Metal

Rising ticket prices are a problem we’ve all been dealing with for a while now. Inflation, rising travel budgets for bands, costly travel visas… all those costs have to get made up somewhere, so naturally ticket prices can increase as the band’s profile and size of the tour get bigger.

It’s sadly a fact of life (especially as LiveNation and Ticketmaster own everything), but whether you attend a show or not really has to be a judgement call on your part. If you really want to see a special band live or a once-in-a-lifetime event is happening that you don’t want to miss — think Black Sabbath’s final gig, for example — are you willing to shell out the big bucks anyway? Or do you feel like the big metal concerts are pricing regular people out?

To that end, we want to hear from you in this weekend poll. Let us know in the comments below if you want to elaborate on your choice and vote. You have until Monday morning at 9 a.m. EST to get your vote in.

How do you feel about high ticket prices for major metal concerts?
