YFN Lucci (born Rayshawn Bennett) learned his fate in a RICO case in Georgia. The Atlanta-born rapper received a 20-year sentence after pleading guilty to one count of violating the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.

A judge granted YFN Lucci time served and parole eligibility in about three and a half months. The 32-year-old “Everyday We Lit” performer will also remain on probation for 10 years.

Prosecutors accused Bennett of being a member of the Bloods street gang. Additionally, the state charged him with felony murder. The prosecution eventually dropped 12 of 13 counts, including the murder charge.

YFN Lucci addressed the public on Tuesday (January 23). The Ray Ray from Summerhill album creator offered an apology to the victim’s family during the court hearing.

“First off, I wanna say my heart goes out to my friend, James Adams, and his family. Also, I wanna apologize to my family and my friends for putting them through this stressful process,” YFN Lucci said. “I would also like to apologize to the court. That’s it.”

Lucci’s defense attorneys, Drew Findling, Gabe Banks and Marissa Goldberg, issued a statement to ABC News. The lawyers insisted their client would not cooperate in any other case.

“After three years of pretrial litigation, more than two weeks of jury selection and three years of incarceration waiting for his jury trial, today, the prosecution finally relented and dismissed the murder and RICO charges against Rayshawn Bennett,” YFN Lucci’s legal team stated.
