When they kicked off their residency at The O2 the night before (July 4), they invited a fan on stage to play drums on âFor Reasons Unknownâ as they celebrated Independence Day.
Writing about that show, NME noted that Brandon Flowers touched on the band’s success while talking to the crowd.
“Youâve got to give the world irrefutable proof that you are who you say you are,â he said. âWeâre The Killers â and weâre a great rock ânâ roll band. Here, let me show you.â
The Killersâ setlist at The O2 was:
âRead My Mindâ

âThe Manâ
âA Dustland Fairytaleâ
âBe Stillâ

The Killers are being supported by Travis, with frontman Fran Healy telling NME: “‘I did say to Brandon, âI hope you know weâll go on every single night and try and blow you off the stageâ and he was laughing. He was like, âBring it onâ, so it should be brilliant. Theyâre great guys.â
Both bands took over the OVO Hydrow in Glasgow last week, and teamed up to cover Aztec Camera’s âSomewhere In My Heartâ.
Speaking to NME about the future of The Killers last year, frontman Flowers said their continued success was “hard to fathom”.
He continued: “Iâve been caught up in this whirlwind for 20 years; in this cycle of touring, writing, touring and writing. The most time we had to reflect was during COVID, and it was quite an awakening process to get time to look through all that weâd done. Iâm really proud of the band and the work.â
