Kansas City’s Canyons dropped a video for their cover of Rage Against the Machine’s “Bulls on Parade” for charity.

ll proceeds from sales of the track, which was mixed and mastered by Chris Common (of These Arms Are Snakes, Le Butcherettes, etc. and who donated his production talents and time), will be donated to benefit KCMO-based charity Steps Of Faith Foundation.

Additionally, this Friday, The Ghost Is Clear Records/Learning Curve Records are releasing a four-way-split between Decibel faves Great Falls, Dug, Canyons and Don’t Grow Old. Titled Stranded, the release is a glimpse into an over arching hopelessness resulting from events of the last few years, and was mastered by Zach Weeks at GodCity. Purchase it here.

Great Falls features members of Playing Enemy, Kiss it Goodbye, and Gaythiest. Hot off the scorching Funny What Survives album, they offer a new single “Water from the Flood” to the Stranded split.

Minneapolis two-piece Dug features the rhythm section of defunct legends Buildings and offer two massive contributions, “I Have a Right to Destroy Myself” and “Res.”

Side B finds two new cuts from Canyons, “Bayak” and “Toast to the Eyes.”

The split wraps up with New Bedford, Massachusetts, hardcore /screamo outfit Don’t Grow Old.

The Ghost Is Clear, Canyons’ Bobby Johnson says the release is “Alll in all, a celebration of perseverance and determination to see any idea through despite setbacks, pitfalls, excuses. It is a moment in time shared by four bands who appreciate the love and opportunities and outlet that heavy music is to them.”
