The Amours, TA Thomas Share New Song and Video: ‘Pick Me Up’

R&B

R&B sister duo The Amours and TA Thomas have joined forces for a new song, “Pick Me Up.”

“Down on my luck / God must’ve sent you to come pick me up / Won’t hold it against you if / You’re somewhere stuck, still thinking of us / When you’ve had enough, you an come pick me up,” the trio harmonizes in the chorus.

Regarding their new single, The Amours share, “‘Pick Me Up’ is a song I’m sure many can relate to. We all know that being in a healthy relationship takes work, especially once you get past that honeymoon phase. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn’t, and sometimes you get into a slightly toxic situation where you know they’re no longer good for you, but you’re choosing to leave the door open for that person to return.”

“Pick Me Up” is paired with a video directed by LCRS, which can be watched below.

“Pick Me Up” follows The Amours’ previous singles “Don’t Deserve,” “Before I Met You” and “JK, I Love You.” All four songs will appear on the duo’s new EP, Changes, which releases April 26.

According to press materials, the 10-track EP, executive produced by Camper, “is a celebration of women from all walks of life. No matter the background, there is a common thread of searching for love throughout various chapters of one’s life–whether it’s self-love or romantic love.”
