Samm Henshaw has shared a video for his new track “Grow” with Tiana Major9 as his leading lady.
The easygoing love song finds the South Londoner pouring himself into a relationship that he wants to see until the end. He sings, “I just need you near me / With you it’s easier to get by / Like blue skies on a Sunday morning / I know that heavens on our side.”
The official music video was co-produced by Jim Pilling. Playing his love interest Selah, Major9, and Henshaw (Sonny) go shopping for their new apartment at Fred’s Greenhouse. After he gets the inattentive employee’s attention and tells her what he’s looking for, Major9 wanders off to browse on her own. She comes across a random salesperson who encourages her to purchase a plant that symbolizes her heart. You’ll have to watch the remainder of the video below to see how it all unfolds.
“Grow” is the second song released from Henshaw this year and the latest from his Unity Soul video series project. He launched the series in May with “Still Broke,” another Josh Grant-produced track. Last year, Henshaw dropped off the retro-styled number “All Good” via Samsung.
Henshaw is prepping for the fall release of his untitled debut album. The LP will be released on AWAL. His last collection of music was 2016’s The Sound Experiment 2.
