Pooh Shiesty was sentenced to five years and three months in jail for his gun conspiracy conviction.
Rolling Stone reports that on Wednesday (April 20), a Miami Federal Court judge ordered Pooh Shiesty to serve 63 months in prison for his connection to a shooting outside a Florida hotel back in October 2020. Prosecutors say Pooh accepted a bag of marijuana and pair of sneakers from a buyer before disarming a firearm and shooting his victim in the buttocks.
Last June, Pooh Shiesty was indicted on the shooting and robbery. The 22-year-old Memphis rapper, born Lontrell Donell Williams Jr., pleaded guilty to a single charge of conspiracy to possess a firearm in furtherance of violent and drug-trafficking crimes.
Three other charges against Williams were dropped, including one that alleged that Williams fired the weapon himself, which would have resulted in a longer sentence. He was originally facing 97 months.
Last December, Pooh released his latest recording from jail, “Federal Contraband Freestyle“.
