Obituary Dodged Tragedy as Car Crashes Into Tour Bus in Scotland

Metal

A scary situation in Glasgow nearly resulted in some serious bodily harm to Obituary‘s merch guy, as he just narrowly avoided being hit by a car as it crashed into the band’s tour bus last night during their show. The band is currently on its U.K, and Ireland tour, which will run until September 11 in the ridiculously named town of Stoke-On-Trent.

The band shared news of the accident on their official Facebook page, sharing that the merch guy was retrieving shirts from the bus’ cargo bay when the incident occurred.

“Car Crashed into our Bus lastnight @thegarageglasgow ..our merch guy was inside the bay getting Tshirts and narrowly escaped..thankfully nobody was injured! Our bus driver along with some local helping hands worked thru the night to repair it enough to make it to Newcastle for tonight’s gig @university_students_union with @pestcontrolthrash because THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!!!

“Great show lastnight and we thank everyone who joined us for another SoldOut Show!! It was absolutely crushing!! Cheers and you next time!!”

As you can see in the image below, there was some pretty gnarly damage done to the bus, but apparently the band was able to continue on to their next show regardless. There’s no information as to whether the driver was drunk, distracted, or just really hated the t-shirt designs the merch guy was getting.
