Nao is coming strong in preparation for her upcoming album. The UK songbird has released her fifth song off the LP, “Wait.”
The ballad gives way to tender piano keys and weeping strings as Nao going through the ups and downs of life but still sticking it out to make it through.
She sings in the first verse, “Is it time? / Is it space? / Maybe it’s just that we need to be honest / ‘Cause we’ve been up face to face / Really wish that we could say what we wanted / We’re emotional / But we’re through is all.”
Lisette Donkersloot reunites with Nao to provide an artistic view of what seems to be a physical representation of the inner workings of her mind.
Nao’s third studio album, And Then Life Was Beautiful, will be available on September 24.
