Marc E. Bassy Releases New Project ‘East Hollywood 2’

R&B

Almost seven years after releasing his East Hollywood EP, Marc E. Bassy releases the second installment. Unlike his previous effort, which was loaded with several stars such as Ty Dolla $ign and G-Eazy, the sequel is feature free.

“I made this project with my friends in my house over the course of 10 sessions. All songs are stories from my life, reflections on the last five years battling to stay balanced in a grinding-ego maniacal industry of sex, drugs and heartbreak,” Bassy explained on Instagram.

After partaking in everything Los Angeles has to offer, Bassy claims that East Hollywood 2 will be his last project recorded in the City of Angels, or as he describes, “a place where your soul is on the line everyday.”

In January, Bassy shared “Levels” as the lead single from East Hollywood 2. He followed up with “Power,” a record he felt sums up “self-criticism.”

Bassy went on to say on Twitter that “Lost in Translation” is “a story of [him] on the road, confronting the dark sites of a partner and accepting them.”

East Hollywood 2 calls for another celebration for Bassy’s fans. He reissued his Little Men with an expanded edition of four new songs. Both the standard and deluxe versions feature appearances from Syd and Cory Henry.
