WE tv has announced Keke Wyatt’s new reality series, Keke Wyatt’s World, will premiere Thursday, Oct. 12, at 9 p.m. ET on the network. New episodes will also be available on the AMC streaming service ALLBLK every Monday.
According to the logline, the six-episode series follows Wyatt “as she navigates her demanding singing career along with being a wife, daughter, diva, friend, and mother to 11 children.” Furthermore, the show will give viewers an inside look at Wyatt as she preps her first album in six years and the challenges that she’s faced with along the way.
The logline continues, “As the pressures mount, she fights to keep it all from unraveling with the help of husband, Zackariah, a stay-at-home dad who manages the house; her mother, Lorna, who is her rock but also stirs up trouble in the family; and manager and BFF, Andrae, who struggles to keep her on track. Can Keke continue to balance motherhood and family life with the demands of her career and her fans?”
Keke Wyatt’s World is produced by Conveyor Media, with Colin Whelan, Rebecca Sirmons and Kat Uyenco serving as executive producers, and Rodney Holland and Carlos Vargas as co-executive producers. Wyatt and Andrae Crenshaw are also executive producers of the series.
On Aug. 25, Wyatt released “Water Into Wine” as the lead single from her forthcoming album that will be released on Shanachie Entertainment.
In January, the label announced Wyatt’s signing. “I really feel good about signing with Shanachie! I’m excited and finally ready. I feel like this time we will create magic together and make HISTORY,” Wyatt said of the signing.
She also shared what fans can expect from her upcoming album. “I want to give my fans the gift of love, hope and trust with my new music. However, don’t get it twisted because I’m singing about it all. I think everyone will be able to relate to this album,” said Wyatt.
Wyatt’s next album will follow 2017’s Keke Covers, a compilation of her renditions of modern and classic songs such as Beyoncé’s “Love On Top” and Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On.” Before that, in 2016, Wyatt released Rated Love, her last original album.
