Fractal Universe Unveil Another Slice of Pop-Tech-Death Heaven, “Symmetrical Masquerade”

Metal

If you haven’t been swayed by my gushing words about pop-tech-death outfit Fractal Universe yet, I’m not sure what else to tell you. But according to the extremely scientific and not-at-all anecdotal MetalSucks comments section, it’s been working! Here’s what a commenter known as Cornlord had to say about the band’s previous single, “A Clockwork Expectation:”

“I was already digging it and then the saxophone started and solidified things. I will be eagerly awaiting this full album release.”

Huzzah! Another commenter, identified simply as . , dug the song but was a bit more measured in their praise:

“Definitely a different spin and somewhat refreshing. Not sure if I could chew through an entire album’s worth though. Obviously they’re appealing to a very select audience.”

The band just put out “Symmetrical Masquerade,” the second single from their forthcoming album, and it’s more of the same: dope technical death metal in an insanely catchy and song-focused package. You should listen to it below and post your very own scientific analysis in the comments so we can feature you next time (and also because the song rules).

The Impassable Horizon comes out on June 25 via Metal Blade; pre-order here.
