Thompson Square says, “We wrote ‘Make America Great Again’ one morning sitting on the porch in Orange Beach AL.  The song came to us after many long conversations about this upcoming election and we felt by not saying anything we weren’t practicing our God given write to free speech.”

“We know we’ll get some blowback from this song, but we feel the message in the song is relevant for all Americas.  We love our country and feel like we’re way off track and divided.  This is not an election between Republicans and Democrats.  It’s an election for freedom.  No candidate is without their flaws, but we feel it’s important to voice your opinion and stand up for what you believe in and the candidate,” they added.

Music has always been a powerful force in shaping culture, serving as both a reflection of societal values and a catalyst for change. Across generations, it has played a role in bringing people together, bridging divides, and inspiring movements for social justice, freedom, and equality. From protest songs during civil rights struggles to anthems of unity in times of national crisis, music speaks to the human experience in a way that transcends language and borders. Many artists have taken on various states of the union over the years, but it seems to be a more prominent movement in today’s social and political climate.  Whether you are right or left or independent, it is important to express yourself with passion and conviction.
