Drone metal outfit Sunn O))) are planning to hit the open European road next year and bring their Shoshin (初心) Duo tour out that way. Coming along for the ride will be Jesse Sykes with Phil Wandscher & Bill Herzog at every show except for two in April.
The tour will run from March 25 in Dublin, Ireland to April 7 in Den Haag, Holland. The 12-date tour will spend a majority of its time in the U.K., but the band do have a few planned dates in France as well. The band announced their upcoming run on social media.
“See the Sunn O))) Shoshin (初心) Duo in its original, raw form. Anderson and O’Malley will perform as a pair, immersed in profound valve amplification, spectral harmonics, distortion, and volume. Pure and primeval riffs of temporality, massively heavy structures of sound pressure.”
As you may have read in our review of a Shoshin (初心) Duo show earlier this year, the concert they put on each night has to be experienced to really understand what it’s like.
