Muni Long has scored a new top 10 hit on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart with “Made For Me.” The lovestruck song moves from No. 13 to No. 9 in its fifth chart week (Nov. 11).
It’s Long’s first top 10 hit on this chart since September 2022.
“Made For Me” debuted at No. 27 on the Adult R&B chart for the week of Oct. 7, 2023.
Additionally, “Made For Me” advances to No. 26 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart this week.
Long has scored three consecutive top 10s on the Adult R&B chart, including her previous top five hits “Honey” with John Legend and “Hrs and Hrs,” with “Made For Me” being the latest addition to the list.
All three songs are Long’s career entries on the Adult R&B Airplay chart.
Released as the second single from John Legend’s 2022 double album, LEGEND, “Honey” launched at No. 25 on the chart.
The delicious track entered the top 10 at No. 8 the week dated Sept. 10, 2022. It peaked at No. 4 the following month.
Billboard aside, “Made For Me” has become Long’s third consecutive top 10 hit on R&B radio, following the two songs mentioned above as it moves up to No. 9 this week.
When “Made For Me” was released on Sept. 15, it became the most added song on R&B radio, according to Mediabase. It marked her return single after a year of accolades for “Hrs and Hrs.”
Long co-wrote “Made For Me” with its producers Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox and Jordan XL. It is still being determined if it will be featured on a future project.
As noted previously, Long has yet to release a collection of new music since last year’s Public Displays of Affection: The Album.
