Tribulation Announce New Single “Hamartia” and European Tour

Metal

Today is a time of new beginnings for gothic metal outfit Tribulation, as they unveil “Hamartia,” the first single with their new guitarist Joseph Tholl.

The new track comes off the back of the band’s recent Swedish Grammis Award win earlier this year for their 2021 studio effort Where the Gloom Becomes Sound, which was their last recording with former guitarist Jonathan Hultén.

The standalone single was recorded with Robert Pehrsson, mixed by Tom Dalgety, mastered by Magnus Lindberg. In addition, the accompanying video below was directed by Johan Bååth & Astrid Bergdahl.

Speaking on the new track, guitarist Adam Zaars said its title stems from the “many shades of the word Hamartia.”

“[‘Hamartia’ is] an angry gothic tragedy sonically, and introduces Joseph on guitar. This is the first of a few. We hope you like it!”

In addition to the new song, Tribulation announced that they’ll be hitting the road again with Watain, Abbath, and Bölzer. That particular string of shows will start later this week and run until October 9.
