Chris Brown Announces ‘Breezy’ Album Release Date

R&B

‘Tis the season of Chris Brown. The R&B superstar has announced his tenth album, Breezy, will release June 24 via Chris Brown Entertainment/RCA Records.

The album is preceded by Brown’s singles “Iffy” and “WE (Warm Embrace).” The former was produced by Smash David, OG Parker and Blaq Tuxedo. The latter tune, which includes a songwriting credit from VEDO, was produced by Don City.

An official tracklist for Breezy has not been revealed at this time. However, Brown did tease his features via Instagram Stories. Breezy will include appearances from Wizkid, Yung Bleu, Ella Mai, H.E.R., Lil Wayne, Blxst, Anderson .Paak, Jack Harlow, Fivio Foreign, Tory Lanez and Est Gee.

Breezy will follow Brown’s 2019 album, Indigo, which featured his Grammy-nominated single “No Guidance” with Drake. Released on June 4, 2019, Indigo debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It sold 108,000 equivalent units in the first week. In August 2019, it was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In October, he released Indigo (Extended), which featured 10 additional songs.

In 2020, Brown partnered with rapper Young Thug for a joint mixtape, Slime & B“Go Crazy” is among the standout tracks on the project. It has garnered more than 510 million streams on Spotify since its release.

This summer, Brown will hit the road with rapper Lil Baby for their One of Them Ones Tour. The 27-city tour kicks off July 15 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Brown and Lil Baby will travel across North America, hitting major markets such as Philadelphia, New York City, Washington, D.C., Toronto, Atlanta and Chicago.
